Condolences
Ron and I are so sorry to hear that we lost Luverne. Unfortunately, we were away when she passed, so unable to attend the memorial.
For the past 28 years, we had the extreme pleasure of being Luverne's next door neighbours. It is so difficult to believe she is no longer there. There is a huge hole in our hearts.
She was truly a remarkable person - so kind, intelligent, generous, active and engaged with the world. We really enjoyed spending time with her. She was very well-informed on current affairs and always had a thoughtful, constructive opinion to share.
We are so happy that she was able to stay in her house until the end. We would often chat with her about when it might be time to move so she could relax and not have to worry about the house any longer. I think her pride in her home and the independence of being able to drive her car were key to her happiness and energy.
Both Ron and I lost our Mothers many years ago. Luverne touched a special place in our hearts. She was truly an inspiration to us and we will miss her very much.
