Obituary of Therese Louise Paradis
April 3, 1938 – Willow Bunch, Saskatchewan
October 6, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta
Therese Paradis, beloved wife of Paul Paradis, of Calgary, AB, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022, at the age of 84 years.
Therese was born in Willow Bunch, SK, on April 3, 1938. Therese graduated from the Moose Jaw Teaching College and moved to Val Marie, SK for her first teaching position. There, Therese met and married Paul and they began their family shortly after. They farmed wheat and beef cattle outside of Val Marie, SK, for forty years before Therese and Paul moved to Calgary, AB, in 2000.
Therese enjoyed reading, gardening, and painting in her spare time. She loved hosting family dinners once a month, to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. Her family was where she found her joy, whether it was family dinners or enjoying a visit over a cup of tea.
She will always be lovingly remembered by her four children, Paulette (Brian), Richard (Sheila), Ghislaine (Larry) and Norman (Carmen); seven grandchildren, Jason (Staci), Tristen (Sandy), Megan (Greg), Brayden, Ridge (Branagh), Nolan, and Liam; three great-grandchildren, Silas, Luca, and Wynter. Therese is also survived by her three sisters, Lydia, Laura, and Lucille (Robert); and her brother, Gerard (Clyde); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Therese is predeceased by her parents, Emery Belisle and Emily Gaudry; and her brother Michael Belisle.
A Funeral mass will be held at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (1600 Acadia Drive S.E., Calgary, AB) on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the church. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
