Obituary of Calvin John Edwardh

Calvin “Cal” Edwardh, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022, at the age of 92 years.
Cal was born in Granum, AB, on April 12, 1930, the youngest of three brothers. He had many fond memories of growing up in Granum and graduated from Granum High school in 1948. He then studied dentistry at the University of Alberta and graduated in 1956. After four years serving in the Canadian Armed Forces as a dentist, he opened his own office in Edmonton in 1960. He prided himself on providing quality dental treatment for his patients for over thirty years.
Cal and the love of his life, Doris, married in 1953 and shared over fifty years together. They raised two sons and travelled the world, sharing many memorable times.
An avid sportsman, in his early years, Cal enjoyed hockey, baseball, and track and field. In later years, he took up the sports of tennis, golf, and jogging. He will be remembered for his sense of humour, positive attitude, and always being the life of the party.
Cal is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Carmelle, of Calgary, AB; his grandson and his wife, John and Samantha of Boston, Massachusetts; and his sister-in-law Joyce Anderson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Cal was predeceased by his beloved wife Doris (Anderson), his son Gregory, his parents Christena and Oscar; his two brothers Mel and Orville Edwardh; his nephew Grant Edwardh, and his brother-in-law Raymond Anderson.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and residents at the Manor Village at Fish Creek Park, as well as Rockyview Hospital staff.
Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Condolences, memories, and photos can be shared here.
