Caterina Bellusci, beloved wife of the late Eugenio Bellusci of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at the age of 90 years.

Caterina was born and raised in Mongrassano, Cosenza, Italy where she met her husband of 68 years, Eugenio. They welcomed three children, Angelina, Giuseppe, and Lorenzo, and in 1967 decided to make the move to Calgary where they worked hard to create a better life for their family.

Caterina’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved baking, crochet, tending her flower garden and prized basil plants, and cooking for friends and family.

Caterina is survived by her sons, Giuseppe (Lida) and Lorenzo (Philippa); seven grandchildren, Giovanni, Osvaldo (Lynda), Tina, Eugenio, Caterina (David), Marco and Elena; and eight great-grandchildren, George, Angelina, Claudia (Karim), Osvaldo Jr., Aria, Anthony, Amelia and Lida. Caterina is also survived by her sister Nanina.

Caterina was predeceased by her husband of 68 years Eugenio; her daughter Angelina; as well as her parents, Vincenzo and Maria; her siblings, Carmela, Ricardo, Antonio, Pierina, Franceschina, Settimia, Emilia, and Fevio.

The family extends our deepest gratitude to Maria, Narlene, and Rosita for the excellent and compassionate home care.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michaels Catholic Community (800 85 St SW, Calgary, AB), on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queens Park Mausoleum. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
