Michael Taerum of Calgary, AB passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2022, at the age of 44 years.

Michael was born in Calgary on Canada Day in 1978 to parents Judith and Terry Taerum. He was baptized into Christ on July 16, 1978, and confirmed in his faith in May 1991.  

The Lord blessed Michael with many talents. He was gifted artistically, athletically, and academically. He won awards in school, including Athlete of Year in twelfth grade, painted an award-winning still-life, and graduated with a degree in Computing Science from the University of Alberta. 

Michael worked in Computer Technologies for several different companies and was self-employed as a web designer. For the last decade of his life, he was a loving companion to his grandmother Helen. 

Finally, on October 8, 2022, God blessed Michael with a holy death and took him home to rest in the arms of Jesus to await the resurrection of the dead.

His passing is mourned by his parents, Judith, and Terry; his brother Stephen; his cousins, Torin, Tonya, Tyler, Laura, Tamara, Matthew, Emily, Leigh, and Christopher; his aunts and uncles, Larry and Patty, Debbie and Greg, Robert and Kathy, Pam and Scott; and his school friends in Canada, England, Australia, and Japan. He is predeceased by his cousin Jeremy, and his grandparents, Verne and Inez, and Donald and Helen.
