Obituary of Jennifer Robin Hume
January 28, 1974 -Winnipeg, Manitoba
October 22, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta
Jennifer Hume (nee Jankiewicz), beloved wife of Scott Hume of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday October 22, 2022 at the age of 48 years.
Jennifer was born in Winnipeg, MB on January 28th, 1974. The family moved to Cochrane in 1980 where she graduated from Cochrane High School. She then went on to study at Marvel and became a hairstylist. She decided after having her children that she wanted to go back to school. After eleven years of attending SAIT, raising her family, and working, she graduated as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 2015. She worked at Arthur O Solheim for seventeen years.
Jennifer met Scott, the love of her life in 1992 and they were married for 22 years. Jennifer accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of becoming a mom and getting her motorcycle license. She enjoyed being at their trailer with friends and going on motorcycle adventures. She loved travelling with her family and watching the blue jays. She spent many hours in the kitchen baking and made many beautiful cakes for friends and family. She was very creative and loved designing all her favourite spaces. She was everyone’s rock and would drop anything to help her friends and family. She will be most remembered for her love and protection of her family and her ability to make everyone feel like you were the most important person in the world.
Besides her loving husband Scott, Jennifer is survived by her son Joseph Hume, her daughters Alexa Romero (Fabio) and Crystal Beaudry (Ryan Kindrat); two grandchildren Khaison and Shaelyn, all of Calgary. She is also survived by her mother Diana Jankiewicz of Cochrane, AB and sister Lisa Kristof (Eric) nephews Jacob, Owen and Blake of Portage la Prairie, MB and her beloved dog Hector who laid by her side until the last day. Jennifer was predeceased by her father Jerry Jankiewicz.
Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB), on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
The family would like to thank Dr. Karim and Sandra at the Tom Baker Centre, Marya at Palliative Care, and all the staff in the Emergency at Foothills Hospital.
