Evelyn Hurst (nee Stevenson), beloved wife of David Walter Hurst, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at the age of 72 years.

Evelyn was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. She married David in June of 1969.

Evelyn enjoyed word finds and knitting; she loved her pets and her plants. She will be most remembered for her big smile and her joyous personality.

Besides her loving husband, Evelyn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Bruce Archibald of Chestermere, AB; Her son and daughters-in-law, Shane Hurst and Crystal Osmond of Rocky View County, as well as Melanie Hurst of Halifax, Nova Scotia; her four grandchildren, Imagin Hurst of Calgary, AB, Emilie Hurst of Halifax, NS, and Claira and Grayson Archibald of Chestermere, AB.

Evelyn is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Linda Stevenson of Camrose, AB; her sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Rick Coutts of Calgary, AB; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Kay Stevenson.

The family will hold a Celebration of Evelyn’s Life for close family and friends. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
