Condolences
From: Norbert REICHL and family including Cheryl LEA
Dear Mrs. Glenda Ball and family:
It was with great sadness that we heard of Gerry's passing, sadly we could not attend the the funeral! Our memory of him was as a jovial, happy go lucky gentleman that was like a mentor to us. We enjoyed his company at St.John's and were always glad to see him and you, Glenda. Gerry inspired me to be a church usher. Our best memories of Gerry were at the Church socials / parties like the Christmas Tea / Bazaar and Christmas Dance. Just like my father, Hermann Stefan Reichl and my father-in-law, David William Lea, Gerry was a great man that put family first. Just like them, Gerry will be sorely missed. However, we must all keep and maintain our memories of him, for that is how we remember him and how his legacy will live on in us. Though it is a sad time when someone dies, it is as Christians that we celebrate that Gerry is in a better place in heaven without any worldly cares or pains! God Bless you Gerry and all your family!
I'm so sorry I was not able to attend Gerry's funeral. He was such a caring and kind man. Thank you Gerry and Glenda for being such an inspiration for living the Christian life. Sometimes when I sigh - think of Gerry if it was a really good sigh. How happy he must be in his eternal home, no more sighing.
Glenda and family..
My sincere condolences to you Glenda and family.
Gerry was such a kind, loving soul and know he will be missed dearly.
But know, he will be with you always, in your heart and fond memories.

I am sad that I am unable to attend the memorial today. I have caught a cold/cough from my kids and do not want to spread anything. I wanted to be sure to share my condolences though. I loved Gerry. I loved his sense of humor, his laugh and his dancing after a few beers :) He was just a beautiful soul inside and out. Some of my best childhood memories include the Ball house. Always a good time. I always felt safe, loved and encouraged to just be a kid. I was blessed with a wonderful Godfather and I know he is in heaven making sure everyone has a drink in hand and having a great time!
My thoughts and prayers to all the Ball family. Love you.
On our arrival from England to Calgary, we were introduced to Gerry and Glenda Ball. They kindly and warmly welcomed us into their home. Gerry had a wonderful collection of his own art work; a truly talented gentleman. It was a pleasure to have known him. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ball family at this sad time.
