Condolences
On behalf of The Terry Fox Foundation, we are sending our love and condolences to Ann's family and friends. Her support over the years has been nothing shy of inspirational, and we are truly grateful for her commitment and passion to continue Terry's legacy over the years.
So happy and proud to have known Ann.
So sad she has gone.

I first met Ann when we came to holiday in Canada along with my husband George to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary.
We were introduced to Ann and Sheila at a family party and our friendship developed from then.
Over the years, Ann and Sheila introduced us to lots of lovely Calgary countryside and we marvelled at it. We are the Wishart Family from The Auld Country. We have toured Western Canada visiting family, particularly the Wishart Family of Calgary Alberta. Ann’s Mother Sheila was a cousin of my husband’s Father Harry Wishart.
Ann and Sheila took us several places and I tasted my first Tim Horton’s Timbit as well as the wonderful Canadian Club Whisky. She was full of energy and generosity. We saw places that we probably would not have seen because of Ann. She even got up very early in the morning to drop us off at the station so we could catch the Rocky Mountaineer Rail Trip to Vancouver.
Ann was a deeply religious person and I joined her and Sheila once at Macdougall United Church for a spiritually comforting Sunday service. When Ann came to Scotland she had a wonderful week with The Iona Community on St Columba’s Island of Iona. She loved that. She also loved the little Puffins and the Highland Coos so whenever possible we would send her little reminders of these beautiful creatures. Sadly, I can only hope that when I see these little mementos and think of her she is in touch with me and I can bless her memory.
We were so happy when she contacted us and told us that she was coming over to the Open at St Andrews. Her tickets were for the practice day and I think that she would see more of the stars than she would on one of the other days. She loved it. It was a two-week whirlwind trip and I am so very happy that she had this opportunity and met up with my husband. They had a tour across Scotland from Oban to St Andrews taking in the beautiful Falkirk Wheel and The Magnificent Kelpies. Unfortunately I did not get to see Ann on this visit but we spoke on Zoom which was wonderful. She was her usual happy self with no sign of what was to follow.
The world has lost a gifted, generous, creative, energetic individual who gave to so many and cherished the company of others. We in the Auld Country will miss her so much.
See you in the next life.
Sleep well Ann.
Gràdh agus brataich. ( Love and Hugs).
Mairi.
