Obituary of Isabelle Colacci

June 16, 1943 – Bonnyville, Alberta

November 6, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Isabelle Colacci (nee Seguin), beloved wife of the late Mike Colacci for over fifty-eight years, of Black Diamond, AB, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at the age of 79 years.

Isabelle was born in Bonnyville, AB, and she grew up in the Cold Lake area with her parents Phillip and Helen Seguin, her sisters, Cecil and Rita, and her brothers, Victor, Joe, and Mike. They moved from Cold Lake to Kelowna and from there to Calgary. She graduated from St. Mary’s high school for girls, eventually growing up, working, and meeting Mike Colacci, who she married and had two sons with, Dominic and Tony. While raising the boys she worked at Woolco, The Bay downtown, and at AMA where she answered calls and put out fires. Both her and Mike retired, and they moved to Creston, BC, living there for thirteen years. They enjoyed their small acreage and she truly loved and enjoyed her garden. In 2017, her and Mike moved back to Alberta, closer to Calgary, in Black Diamond, into a beautiful home, and though she had a much smaller garden, Isabelle decorated her home with pride.

Isabelle is survived by her two sons, Dominic and Tony; her sisters, Cecil Braun and Rita Hutchison, brother Mike Trudeau, and her many nieces and nephews.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, November 11, 2022, from 6:30 pm to 7:00 p.m.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church (402 Government Rd. Black Diamond, AB) on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mrs. Colacci’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
