Condolences
I had the good fortune to work with Tom and Jan for many years at the City of Calgary. He embraced such a positive outlook on life with a smile ever present on his face. A really good person who was respected by everyone. My condolences to Jan and family.
Jan, what a beautiful tribute to him in that wonderful service. So happy I could share in it on-line. He had a blessed life with such a beautiful family. Your trip to my house to visit Janice and I is such a wonderful memory. I am so fortunate to have shared that time with you and Tom. He'll always be in my heart!!

It is with deep sadness that Janet shared Tom’s passing this past week. Tom is a great friend and ex colleague for many years at the City of Calgary. I will be thinking of you when I go to Flames games, an outing we occasionally enjoyed together over the years just like a good round of golf. A great man on all fronts, you will be missed and so will your very unique laugh Tom !! Until we meet again…. Michel
To the family of Tom please accept my sincere condolences on the sad news of his passing. I had the pleasure of occasionally working with Tom at the City of Calgary. He was always professional and a gentleman.
Dearest Jan and Family, I am sending you our sincere condolences. Tom was a cherished mentor and friend at the City. He so loved you and the family. The kids were his pride and joy! He always enjoyed helping others and was a true blessing to so many people. With heartfelt compassion, Charlotte and Gene Deering
Jan, sincere condolences to you and your family as you grieve the loss of Tom. We have so many great memories of growing up with the Griffiths family who were our neighbours and good family friends. Will always remember Tom for his humour and kindness as well as his unwavering dedication to family and friends.

It is beyond any poor and humble means I might have to pay adequate tribute to my friend Tom. Emerson said it better than I ever could. To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to leave the World a better place knowing that the burdens of others were diminished because I lived. Such was the life of our friend Tom. We will miss him more than we can say.

I was saddened to learn of Tom's passing. We worked together at the City of Calgary in HR for many years. I always valued his insights on the complex issues we dealt with. Tom was a valued colleague and I will miss his warm and happy smile. My condolences to Janet, David, Andrew and Elizabeth.
