Obituary of Lisa Marie Remesoff

It’s with great regret we say goodbye to our dear Lisa Marie Remesoff. She passed in her home in Cochrane, AB at the age of 54.

She was born in Swift Current in 1968 and lived in Shaunavon, SK until the age of five. The Remesoff’s then moved to Canmore, AB, where she remained until she graduated high school. Lisa tried her hand at SFU taking journalism courses, and then returned to the Bow Valley working at a variety of jobs including food service and ESL teaching until she became a mother and stayed home to be with her new baby in Bragg Creek. Her next adventure took her to Red Deer where the second child was born. Over the years she lived in Lethbridge, Kamloops, and then Cochrane while working and volunteering as an event planner, fundraiser, and campaign worker. She loved being a mother to Frankie and Ryley.

Lisa will be missed by her father Peter Remesoff, brothers, Douglas and David Arthurs, and her adult children, Frankie and Ryley. Lisa is also mourned by her two uncles and many cousins. She leaves friends behind across Alberta and BC.

Lisa was well-read. She loved crosswords and Jeopardy; anything to show off the opulence of her memory palace. It was easy to make her laugh and even easier to make her cry. She cared very deeply and kept her finger on the pulse of local and world issues and would like to make sure you knew as much as she did. She liked long walks, long talks, and long goodbyes. She was hard to like but easy to love and will be missed muchly.

A small service will be held by her family in Cochrane.
