Dear Caroline and family
It was with deep sadness that I heard of John's passing. I first met John and Caroline in the late 1980's through his twin brother Ray, whom I worked with at the same company. The three of us with Terry, Barry and a couple more guys spent many evenings together in the Pubs and Clubs around Walsall having a good time. We all went our separate ways really when Ray joined the Army and I joined shortly after and went to Germany. After I retired from the Army it was great to see John and yourself again when you came over to visit. I have to admit there are tears in my eyes as I write this as there will be on Friday when I watch things from afar. He was a great friend who will be sadly missed. God bless you Caroline and your family, take care.
All our love
Trevor and Erika
Condolences to Caroline and family. We met John and Caroline in Hemet California during our winter get away. We spent many memorable get togethers that were primarily filled with laughter. We will treasure those moments for ever! We will make a point of stopping for a visit with you Caroline when we get to Calgary sometime. Take care - lots of hugs from your friends. Gaye and Len!
Dear Caroline and Family:
We were saddened to hear of the passing of John and are keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers as you remember and celebrate his wonderful life. We have very fond memories of John from our many years at Keller. We especially appreciate the help and support that he provided when our son broke his leg at the Sand Hill, he jumped into action accompanying him by boat and car to the hospital. He truly was a caring, thoughtful individual and we always enjoyed hearing his stories. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Caroline and family.
I was saddened to hear of John’s passing. I have many fond memories of my old A District partner and friend, most involving a party and cocktail.
Of course there was the “Gentleman’s Club” with brother John the self appointed Grand Exalted Poobah, we got a lot of mileage out of that. John’s sense of humour was second to none, there was never a down day when he was around.
In the tradition of the GC, I will toast John with a dram of nectar of the gods….my deepest condolences.
Dear Caroline and family.
Sending my deepest sympathy. California won't be the same without John and his smile and jokes. May God bless you and your family Caroline.

Was saddened to hear of John’s death, like so many other CPS members He was my first officer coach and laid the foundation for my 38 year career.
One memory which stands out was John and Tom Butler running the “Gentleman’s Club” in what was then “A” District. It made all us young guys feel like we belonged and were part of a team.
Because of his amazing personality and charm I asked John to be the Emcee at my wedding and he did a wonderful job. He was truly someone it was impossible not to like.
Please accept my sincere condolences JT will be missed.
Dear Caroline
Me and Mom were deeply saddened by the news, it brought a tear to both our eyes, but also some smiles when we remembered the laughs and good times especially John and my dad John were sharing stories stood at the bar. Personally those long holidays we spent with you all are some of the happiest of my childhood, still remember the smoke signals in the mountains. You and all the family have all our love always.

Dear Caroline
I have such sadness on hearing of the loss of John. I have been blessed to have known him for over 40 years. He was my first officer coach and mentor with CPS. I’m sure I made a major impression on him as on our first night, I attempted to get into the patrol car and my new boots slipped and I slid right under the car. He looked over and said with his laugh “well are you getting in or what?”
I think back and the times we met or shared a beer, and always hear his laugh or his patent line “well I tell ya”.
I wish and pray all the very best to you and the children and their families.
As is often the case since retirement we will be away on Friday for his service. We will use the live stream to at least hear the well deserved praises of John and his life.
God Bless
Craig and Marion Cuthbert
Caroline and family please know our sadness in sharing your loss of John.

My defining memory of John will always be his smile. It was occasionally mischievous but always genuine. He is another member of the generation of cps members who made the organization such a great place for the newbies like me who came along in the 80s. My sincere condolences to John’s family and close friends.
Condolences to Caroline and all the family on the loss of John. As a fellow Keller Ferry alum, we will always remember John's sense of humour and lively demeanor. He never forgot the joke about the 'static' Duane perpetually hears/ puts up with (from me) and never failed to remind me of it. Ha ha! This world has lost 'one of the good ones'. RIP John.
Our sincere condolences to you and your family.

We first met John, Caroline and family at the lake at Keller Ferry, Washington. We
holidayed together every summer for many years and getting together with our
Calgary “mates” was always such fun. John always had great stories or jokes to tell and
his laugh was infectious. He loved golfing up the hill at the Big Bend Golf Course in
Wilbur and going for dips or boat rides on the lake. He was on his vacations. . . . and
relaxing was high on his ‘To Do List’ as well. I presented him with this licence plate
graphic at his 60th birthday party where everyone was treated very well. John, we will
miss you but have many fond memories. One was of John and Caroline dancing on a
picnic table to Joe Cocker’s “You Can Leave Your Hat On.”
Hasta la Vista John.

John was my Uncle, always referred to as "My favourite Unc" but actually was my only uncle, and I loved him.
John was one of my District Sergeants when I started in District 4. He was a character and had some mischief in him for sure. Learned a few good life lessons from him. Last time I saw him was at McLean Creek campground while I was ending a hunting season - had a good chat and was good to see him. RIP John - my condolences to the family

I got to know John in the mid 70's and worked directly with him in APU at the tail end of both of our careers. He was always tons of fun either at work, on the golf course and at any of his numerous parties he and Caroline hosted.
Our deepest condolences to the Allen family.

I worked in 3 district years ago with John during his time with the CPS and we would meet at Nicks Steak House for coffee and a laugh, John could always supply chuckle for something or anything. Condolences to Johns entire family at this time.
