Obituary of Emma Sharp

Emma Sharp (nee Koening), of Calgary, AB passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at the age of 95 years.

Emma was born in Stony Plain, AB, on September 9, 1927. She went on to work for Safeway for twenty-five years.

Emma accomplished much through her life and was very proud of her sons. She had many hobbies, including gardening and bowling, and, as an avid sports fan, she possessed the amazing ability to track and record game stats.

Emma’s most memorable vacation was when she and her family took a trip to Disneyland in 1973. She will be most remembered for her care and support, and for always being there for her family.

Emma is survived by her two sons, Doug Hryniw and Don (Sheri) Hryniw; and her two grandchildren, Daina and Emilie. Emma is also survived by her two sisters, Charlotte (Allan) Crosson of Whitecourt, AB, and Elsie Wendel, of Beach Corner, AB; as well as numerous family members and friends. Emma was predeceased by her former husbands, Harold Sharp and Paul Hryniw.
