Condolences
I can’t believe it’s been a year already. I still miss you so much. Love you.
Walking home from the movies, you held my hand and pulled it up close to you, I’d pull it down, later on I asked you why you did that and you said “To keep you safe”. Thank you for keeping me safe mum, I’ll keep all my precious memories of you safe in my heart, my mum, my best friend :)
So sorry for your loss Susan. My thoughts are with you and your family.
,Daughter, Sister, Wife,Mum, Gran, Great Gran, Auntie, so much to so many. One of the bravest people I know. When you had your accident as a toddler, Doctors said you would never walk, as a young woman you were told you could not have children.
At eighteen you had to leave your home and family in Ireland, to find work in England. Later in life you up-rooted again to support your husband Denis and moved the Family to Canada to start a better life, again leaving friends and family behind.
Had a battle with cancer and won.
Loads of memories, evenings when Nancy would come up to knit with you. Time spent with Sandy crocheting and all the Barbie outfits my girls got to dress their dolls with. Incredible memories of the time spent with my children and grand children, nephews and nieces. I think all of them will remember how seriously you took playing Snap.
Your roast beef dinners and rice puddings can never be beat
You and Dad had some wonderful holidays, and meeting Tommys sons and families in Australia was a dream come true. Will never stop missing you, Kath
Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes, we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Rest in peace Grandma, you have been lost for awhile but are often mentioned in conversations and stories about our past.
Memories and traditions that will never be forgotten and have been passed on. Childhood memories of afternoons on the swing, making cookies that looked like seashells, your Christmas pudding, polishing the silver and stories about Ireland and England with mugs of tea are a few of the memories we will cherish.
"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal."
So sorry for your loss Susan; Our thought and prayers go out to you and the family
