I just heard about the passing of Mrs. Standen. I only saw her a few times in the past couple of decades but she was a prominent feature in my childhood. I spent a great deal of my childhood in her home and thought the world of both Mr. and Mrs. Standen. I so admired the relationship they had with one another and appreciated how welcome she made me feel in their home, throughout the years. I still eat her delicious chilli recipe and think of them when I see any horse races. My deepest condolences to Jeff, Barb and Bobby and all the other family members and people who loved her.
