Jocelyne was born in Rogersville, NB, on February 20, 1950.

She moved to Moncton, NB, in 1974 and Calgary, AB, in 1994.

Jocelyne and Gordon Gerry had been together for over 40 years

Jocelyne graduated from nursing school at the age of 45. She enjoyed caring for the elderly and worked at the Father Lacombe nursing home for over twenty-five years.

Jocelyne accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her nursing degree (was her superpower).

Jocelyne’s most memorable vacation was when she traveled to Cancun, Mexico with Gordon in the early 80s so she could have some true Pina Colada’s on the beach.

Jocelyne’s favourite author was J.D Robb. When relaxing at home she could be seen with a book in hand, sitting on her favourite couch with lots of pillows (no room for Maggie the cat).

She will be most remembered for caring for others whether at work or taking care of family, and friends.

Jocelyne is survived by her husband Gordon Gerry of Calgary, AB, her son Marco Chiasson of Edmonton, AB, daughter Anick Chiasson, husband Terry Richard of Calgary, AB; two grandchildren, Samantha Lacasse husband Jared of Calgary, AB, and Eric-Antoine DesLaurier of Quebec City, QC; and three great-grandchildren, Denali Hansen, and Oakley Hansen of Calgary, AB, and Louka Deslauriers of Quebec City, QC.

Jocelyne is also survived by her sister Lise Fournier of St. John, NB, sister-in-law Berthe Fournier, and numerous extended family and friends all over Canada. As well as her loyal companion, her cat Maggie.

Jocelyne was predeceased by her parents Eva (Boucher) and Erick Fournier; two brothers Guy Fournier and wife Ruth of Calgary, AB, and Edgar Fournier of Rogersville NB; her two sisters, Bernadette Arsenault Late husband Gerald of Rogersville, NB, Rachelle Fournier of Moncton, NB, and her late cat Bear.
