Obituary of Hans Schrubkowski

June 27, 1940 – Podwitz, Kreis Kulm, Germany

January 1, 2023 – Edmonton, Alberta

Hans passed away peacefully at the Royal Alexandra Hospital when his heart gave up. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Hans is survived by his devoted wife Ingrid, his loving daughter Carmen (husband Danny), his son-in-law Wayne, and amazing grandchildren, Ryan, Cory (wife Mickenzie), Kassandra, Molly, and Markus. He also loved dearly his great-granddaughter Blakely, brother Karl, and two sisters, Burga, and Barbel of Germany. He was predeceased by his daughter Martina, two brothers and one sister. May he now rest in eternal peace.

Special thank you to Dr. Alex Saunders and nursing staff at the Royal Alexander Hospital, who were with him at the end. It is so very much appreciated. Also, to staff of the University of Alberta hospital Heart Function clinic.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Sherwood Park Presbyterian Church (265 Fir Street, Sherwood Park, AB), on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the church. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
