Celebration of Life
Condolences
So sorry to hear about your dad's death. My condolences to Susan and family -- your dad was an amazing, kind, generous and multi talented man. It was great to read about his support for Kerby Centre and your mom and the scholarship in her name.
My uncle Grant had an extraordinary life. He was a kind man with a desire to help other seniors in his senior years. He last visited his brother George in Windsor ON, with his two daughters Susan and Debbie, in August 2018. My sister Pam Durie from Parkland, Florida also flew in to join the gathering. Dad was thrilled to see everyone.
We'll sure miss Grant's calm and friendly presence. I especially remember his kindness towards my ten year old self when we were stranded on a stuck chairlift in a blizzard in 1970!
We send our deepest condolences for your loss. Grant was a steadfast friend to my parents and to our whole family, We are very saddened by his loss, and will always remember him. What an inspiring and accomplished life he led with Pat! My sister imagines Grant and our father sailing among the stars together now, and I think of him in the light. May your memories and the love of family and friends bring you comfort.
Evelyn Ross, Louise Ross, and the Schechter family
My sincere condolences on the loss of your father. Grant was a very special friend and mentor to my dad, Herman Gerritsen, both during and after their years working together at Molson's. They did many sailing trips together and I know they meant a great deal to my dad.
Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your father. What a lovely, interesting, fine gentleman he was! I so enjoyed meeting and working with both him and your amazing mother.

Connections between my family and Grant's predate both of our births: Grant's grandparents and my great-grandparents were the same people. Our families have been close over the years despite the fact that for many decades we have lived in different provinces. Much of the credit for our continuing closeness belongs to Grant himself, whose energy and zest for life and enthusiasm to travel propelled him frequently (back) to Ontario and to reunions with the extended family. I always looked forward eagerly to Grant's next visit and I feel sad to think that these have now come to an end. A fine man, and an equally fine life. I will forever remember and miss him.
