Obituary of Milius Carrie

Milius Carrie of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the age of 70 years.

Milius accomplished much throughout his life and was proud of his achievements. He strongly valued education and believed that you were never too old to learn. From Haiti, he moved to Montreal, Quebec in 1971 for eleven years before settling in Alberta in 1982. He worked for Nortel formerly Northern Telecom until 2000 then moved on to social work and serving his community such as being a companion. For recreation he enjoyed dancing, socializing, and helping others.

Milius loved the Lord and volunteering at his church, his community and most recently at the Calgary Dream Centre.

Milius is survived by his son Gladymir (Sue) and daughters Ingrid and Daphnee-Lyne. He is also survived by his grandchildren Trinity, Maya Nicole, and Gabriel.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.

Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mr. Carrie’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service.
