Obituary of Kevin Joseph Blacquiere

September 6, 1960 – Summerside, Prince Edward Island

January 30, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

We are deeply heartbroken to announce that Kevin Blacquiere of Calgary, AB, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 30, 2023, at the age of 62 years.

Kevin was born in Summerside, PEI, on September 6, 1960. He moved to Calgary, AB, in 1981.

While Kevin left us far too soon, the impact he had around us will be felt for years to come. Kevin will always be remembered for his generosity, kindness, genuine spirit, his love of family, and many more attributes. Kevin was always ready to lend a helping hand or build whatever you needed help with.

Kevin loved being surrounded by his family and friends, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him and forever in our hearts. He was a devoted and loving father to his kids, a proud “papa” to his grandkids, and deeply loved all the dogs he told his kids not to get.

Kevin is survived and lovingly remembered by his son Ryan and partner Katie, his daughter Melissa and son-in-law Ian; his grandchildren, Leo and Camila; and all his four-legged grandkids. Kevin is also survived by many friends, cousins, and relatives. Kevin was predeceased by his parents, Celina and Cyrus.

A Celebration of Life will take place in the springtime when we can plant a tree in Kevin’s honour on the farm. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed here.
