Obituary of Maximilian Samuel SCHUSTER

July 22, 2013 – Calgary, Alberta

October 1, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

Max Schuster of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at the age of 6 years, after the bravest of fights with cancer.

Max was born in Calgary, AB on July 22, 2013.

From the day he was born, Max was happy, the kind of happy that lights up a room and makes your heart burst. He was always smiling, giggling and being silly, even through the toughest of times. He loved tickling, fart sounds, pillow fights, telling the best/worst jokes and his most favourite thing, shouting “boo” in hopes of scaring everyone.

Max was also known for his love of building and fixing. He migrated to anything that needed to be built, but his greatest passion was Lego. Max was a true Lego Master builder, doing Lego usually designed for double his age, even mastering Lego robotics. Building his Lego was a reward, a distraction and a sense of pride that got us through some very tough times.

When not battling obstacles or building Lego masterpieces, Max loved the swings in his backyard, water fights, family bike rides, superhero bath battles, HotWheels extravaganza, camping with all his friends, endless games with his besty Olivia, building epic forts, walking his brother Guinness, and having many adventures with his Mom and Dad and extended family and friends. But don’t let this happy little builder fool you, he was a fierce warrior and the bravest and most resilient person we ever knew. Max overcame massive obstacles and setbacks and never let a bad day keep him from finding joy, even in the smallest of ways. He in every way was the greatest Superhero there was.

Max’s infectious spirit, strength of character and bright joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him and his journey.

Max will be sadly missed and loved forever by his parents, Adrian and Dayna; his furry brother Guinness; his grandparents, Karen and Larry Spiess and Beryl Schuster; his aunts, uncles and cousins as well as numerous extended family and dear friends.
