Obituary of David "Dave" Howard Lee

LEE, David Howard

August 5, 1954 – Winnipeg, Manitoba

October 2, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

Dave passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.

Dave was born in Winnipeg, MB. He was raised in Indian Head, SK in his early years, and in Calgary, AB during his teen years. After learning framing skills from his father, Dave began work in log home construction outside of Calgary for a number of years before proudly starting his own log home business, Artistic Log Homes. In 1994, Dave and his family moved to Sundre, AB where his children were raised. Dave was passionate and skilled in his work, and he was an expert log- and timber- smith. Dave also enjoyed curating his expansive music collection, playing guitar, all kinds of outdoor activities, working on vehicles, and building up the family homestead. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #223 in Sundre, and spent many volunteer hours there. Through all, Dave was quick to laugh and make a joke. He always went through life on his own terms. Dave continued to operate his business until recent years when his deteriorating health demanded he cease work, and he lived comfortably in the care of his daughter Rachelle.

He was loved and will sadly be missed by his family: daughter Meagan Fullerton-Lee; daughter Mandy Fullerton-Lee; son Zack Fullerton-Lee; daughter Rachelle Fullerton-Lee; and spouse Rhonda Fullerton. He will also be missed by his two sisters Susan Sawicki, and Debbie Lee. He was predeceased by his mother, Muriel Bedard; and his brother, Kim Lee.
