Obituary of David George Sabier

March 2, 1958 - Lafayette, Indiana, US 
September 29, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

David Sabier of Regina passed away peacefully, in Calgary, on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at the age of 61 years.

David spent the last week of his life at his sister’s home in Calgary, playing as much bridge and cribbage as he could fit in.  From September 22 to September 29, David was surrounded by his mother, Audrey Sabier; his sisters, Karen Derby and Christine Sabier; as well as other close relatives, Shawn Derby, Jeff Cook, Nolan Derby, Leigh Derby, Anika Landy, Melissa Medearis, Kiefer Waite-Newhouse, Josh and August Martin, Lois, Glen, Sol, Abigail and Julia Mumey; and his good friend Dee. Cheyne Landy, David’s nephew, was unable to make the trip from Australia. David was predeceased by his father Harry Sabier.  

David was a very kind and courageous person who possessed a lot of determination, resourcefulness and “know how”.  He was a talented builder and fix-it person and would patiently explain “how things work”. David will be greatly missed; we wish he was still here.
