Al was what you would call a “character”. You knew when he arrived with his big voice, cigar, fancy car (that he often built) and sometimes a great outfit to go with it. All these memories are as a nephew who had him visiting our family. He was most at home in his garage chewing on a cigar. He was also a square dancer with a fancy outfit to match Ethel’s. Al was not someone who liked being confined to any environment, let alone a wheelchair. He is in a better place now, with Ethel, free to roam about and be the big character he is. He will be missed.
