Condolences
Marie and family …
It was a big shock to hear of Harry’s passing and an even bigger surprise to find out that he was 94 years young (He had never mentioned his age).
I’m part of a group of Edmonton prospectors that shared many trips, over that last 30+ years, with Harry “gold panning the rivers and creeks across British Columbia”, Harry would fill our times around the campfire with stories of adventure and humour. Looking back, Harry was a friend and mentor.
The photographer in our group, Bruce Smith, posted a picture (see Photos) of the five of us from one of our trips many years ago. For me and the others in our group, Harry will always hold a special place in our hearts, and memories of the times we shared will always be in our minds.
Harry, may you rest in peace with our hope that you keep looking down on us as we search for that next flake of gold.
Regards … Erus Capel and the rest of the group (Bruce, Nick, and Robin).
