Obituary of John Wesley Kellar

John Wesley Kellar, best known as Wes or “Osito”, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at the age of 71 years.

Wes is survived by his wife Gracia Ahumada, son Jeffrey (Shea) Kellar, stepdaughter Tania Guerrero, two grandsons, his brother Dane (Lynne) Kellar, and sister Elaine Alexander.

Wes was a skilled piping designer, but his true passions were music and golf. He was an exceptional guitar, bass guitar, and clarinet player and played in various bands and many jams over the years. His dry wit and love of music will be missed by his family and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
