Obituary of Michael Andrew Robinson

It is with immeasurable sadness that the family of Michael Andrew Robinson announces his passing on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the age of 55 years.

He leaves behind the love of his life, Nadine, and his daughters, Lauren, Hillary (Mitchell), Gillian (Stephen), and Claire (Ethan). They carry countless memories of laughter, guidance and unconditional love.

As a grandfather, Michael was the proudest “Papa” around. His grandchildren, Nora, Kristopher, and Fitzpatrick adored him for his quiet and gentle presence. He also leaves behind his mother Gail, his sister Jennifer, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and their families.

Michael is reunited with his father Gordon, whose memory he always carried close to his heart.

For 35 years, Michael poured his heart into the construction industry, a career he genuinely loved. He worked side by side with his father Gordon, where they built a legacy of hard work and excellence.

Michael had a rare gift for music and a deep love for rocking out. Whether strumming his guitar on the beach or belting out a tune, his music wasn’t just a talent—it was pure joy in action. He was a gifted musician and shared that love with anyone he touched.

Michael found solace in the natural world, a place where he felt most alive. Among all the places he cherished, Hornby Island held a special place in his heart. It was there where he married Nadine, and they created a sanctuary filled with their happiest memories.

Michael’s legacy is one of boundless love, profound wisdom, infectious humour, and a spirit that enriched the lives of everyone around him. His absence leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Rd SE, Calgary) on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Reception location to be announced.
