Hazel Jean French (nee Spencer) of Didsbury, AB, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at the age of 94 years.

 

Hazel was born in Sudbury, ON, on March 3, 1930. She lived a life full of love, laughter, and kindness, touching the hearts of everyone she met. Her boundless love, infectious laughter, and unwavering generosity will be remembered by all who knew her.

 

She was a devoted wife to Charles French, who predeceased her, and a loving mother to Delphis, Patsy, Louise, Peter, and Ben. Her legacy continues through her twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, who will forever cherish her memory.

 

Hazel was known for her incredible strength, wisdom, and special outlook on life. She was a pillar of the community, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer a warm smile. Her home was a gathering place for family and friends, filled with warmth, laughter, and the aroma of her delicious cooking.

 

An interment is being organized to take place at the Sunnyridge Cemetery in the Municipality of West Nipissing during the summer of 2025.

 

We find comfort in knowing that Hazel is now reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

 

Rest in peace, dear Hazel. Your legacy of love and kindness will live on in our hearts forever.
