It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Roberta “Bobbie” Jean Marsh, who departed this world on Friday, December 27, 2024, after a long and beautiful life at the age of 92 years, in Calgary, AB. Deeply cherished by all who knew her, she leaves behind a legacy of grace, strength, and unwavering love.
Bobbie was born at the Calgary General Hospital on March 3, 1932, to Wilfred and Gladys Turner. From her earliest days, she radiated warmth and kindness, traits that would define her life and relationships.
On September 12, 1952, Bobbie married her devoted husband, Skip Marsh. Together, they shared 72 years of marriage, a testament to a lifetime of partnership, resilience, and joy. Their enduring bond built a family rooted in love, and her presence brought light to every room she entered.
Bobbie began her working career at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce on February 18, 1957. Her dedication and professionalism marked her 32 years of service until her retirement on September 1, 1989. Her colleagues and clients alike admired her diligence and unwavering commitment.
Bobbie was the proud matriarch of her family, whose love knew no bounds. She adored her family fiercely and unconditionally, embodying quiet strength and a nurturing heart. Among her many accomplishments, Bobbie was particularly proud to be a mother to Susan, Michael, and Patrick. She guided her children with wisdom and grace, always putting family at the center of her life.
Her love extended beyond her immediate family. Bobbie shared an unbreakable bond with her sister, Phyllis, who was not just her family but also her lifelong confidante and best friend. She welcomed her daughter-in-law, Michelle, as one of her own, forging a relationship that mirrored that of a mother and daughter. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were constant sources of joy; she cherished each moment spent with them. Among her greatest blessings was her one-and-only great-great-granddaughter, Hazel, whose presence brought Bobbie endless happiness and pride.
Her departure leaves a profound emptiness in our hearts, yet we find solace in the memories of her laughter, kindness, and the remarkable life she lived. Bobbie was a guiding light to her family, a true role model of grace and strength. Though she is no longer with us, her love lives on in every life she touched. She will be missed more than words can express, but her legacy will forever inspire her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
