Susan Richardson of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, at the age of 66 years.

Susan was born in Calgary, AB, on December 24, 1958. She graduated from William Aberhart High School and spent many years as a highly respected legal assistant in Calgary before working alongside her daughter Stephanie as the office manager at her dance studio, Elements Dance Co. in Airdrie, AB, for the past ten years.

Throughout her life, Susan accomplished much and was particularly proud of her children, Stephanie and Ryan, as well as her grandsons. A proud grandmother to four boys, Susan loved spending time with her grandsons, especially cheering them on at the hockey rink. Her love for her family was boundless, and she found joy in every moment spent watching her children and grandsons grow and pursue their dreams. Susan’s enthusiasm for her grandsons' accomplishments—both on and off the ice—knew no limits. To them, she wasn’t just a grandmother; she was their biggest fan.

In addition to her love for family, Susan was deeply involved in the Elements Dance Co. community. She was cherished by all, never missed a performance, and always offered words of encouragement to the dancers. Susan’s presence brought joy to everyone at the studio.

Susan will be most remembered for her devotion to her family, her wit, and her sense of humour. She will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Susan is survived by her partner Darcy; daughter Stephanie (Brett); son Ryan (Jordana); and four grandsons, Ambrose, Jack, Calix, and Theo. She is also survived by her stepmother Dale; two brothers, David and Doug; sister Patti (Bob); stepbrother Paul (Melody); Stephanie and Ryan’s dad Chris; as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family members, including Beth (Rob), Ashley (Ali), and Christy (Andre).

Susan was predeceased by her parents, Joan and Cameron Scott Richardson.

A Celebration of Susan’s Life will be held at Bearspaw Golf Club (61 Hamilton Drive, Calgary, AB) on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
