Obituary of Cathy-Lee Susan Ross
April 4, 1968 – Elliot Lake, Ontario
December 29, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta
In loving memory of Cathy-Lee Susan Ross (nee Lambert) of Calgary, AB, who passed away peacefully at the South Health Campus on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at the age of 56 years.
Cathy-Lee was the daughter of Edward Lambert and Brenda Lambert (nee Newhouse [Usitalo]), of Sault Ste. Marie, ON. She was the beloved wife of Hugh Ross for nearly 35 years and the dear mother of Dillon. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, David and Rachel. Cathy-Lee was predeceased by her brother Nick.
A graduate from ICS Canada with achievements in Journalism and Writing in 1989 and a diploma in child psychology with highest honours in 1995. Cathy-Lee was a domestic engineer, a career in which she managed households and homeschooling.
Cathy-Lee stayed close to home but enjoyed travelling, particularly throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and Montana. Making the fondest memories at her favourite place to spend the day, Banff National Park. Cathy-Lee was also passionate about music, crafting, baking, and knitting and loved to sit and read a good book, especially Little House on the Prairie. She was a mentor, friend, and companion and will be lovingly remembered for her thoughtfulness and caring for others.
The family of Cathy-Lee Ross extends thanks to the amazing Calgary Fire Department, Calgary EMS Paramedics, and the wonderful staff at the South Health Campus.
A Celebration of Cathy-Lee’s Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek Hospitality Center, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Cathy-Lee’s family here.
