Obituary of Jane Mould

January 25, 1951 – London, Ontario

January 1, 2025 – Calgary, Alberta

Jane Mould, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at the age of 73, surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in London, ON, Jane was a proud member of several animal welfare organizations, dedicating her time and resources to advocating for animal rights. She had a deep passion for nature and animals, spending her days feeding the neighbourhood birds and caring for her beloved cats throughout the years.

Above all, Jane cherished her family. Her children, David Mould, Jennifer Matthews, and Mischa Matthews, were the light of her life. She was also a devoted grandmother to William, Mars, and Wyatt Lowrie; and a loving sister to Tom Leyes and David Leyes. Jane was predeceased by her mother Nellie Leyes, her father Jerome Leyes, and brother Ron Leyes.

Jane will be remembered for her kind and gentle heart, her unconditional love for her family, and her deep commitment to nature and animals. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The family thanks all who have shown their love and support during this difficult time. Jane will be most remembered for her deep love for her family, animals, and nature.

Celebration of Jane’s Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Heritage, 1708 – 16th Avenue NW, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Reception details to be announced at a later date.
