Obituary of Jean Ruth Kyle
September 30, 1931 – Rainy River, Ontario
January 1, 2025 – Calgary, Alberta
Jean Kyle beloved wife of William Jacob Kyle of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at the age of 93 years.
Jean was born in Rainy River, ON, on September 30, 1931. She graduated from Gordon Bell, in Winnipeg, MB, and worked as an Administrative Assistant at F.E. Osborne Junior High School, in Calgary, AB.
She accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of raising her five daughters.
Jean enjoyed, sewing, quilting, knitting, reading, cooking, gardening, swimming, walking, and time at the YMCA with family and friends. Her most memorable vacation was when she traveled to Hawaii.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Mather (Stewart) of Calgary, AB, Janice Kyle (Fred Sorenson) of Bella Coola, BC, Allison Campbell (Gordon) of Royston, BC, Cynthia McDonald (Pat) of Calgary, AB, and Heather Standish (Ken) of Brisbane, Australia; seven grandchildren, Melissa, Kyle, Sean, Haeley (Jesse), Granger, Victoria (Scott), and Liam (Kloe); her seven great-grandchildren, Holly, Kali, Alora, Thalia, Killian, Zaylee, and Elsie. Jean was predeceased by her husband, William (Bill) Kyle.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Bow View Manor in Calgary, for all their care and compassion.
