Obituary of Brenda Goodsman

January 1, 2025 – Calgary, Alberta

Brenda Goodsman (nee McFadden) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at AgeCare Walden Heights facility in Calgary, AB. Born to Willa and William McFadden on March 14, 1953, in Vancouver, BC, Brenda devoted her life to supporting her family through difficult times.

As a mother to her three children, Devin, Tanna, and Jeric, and a grandmother to Elisanne, Brenda’s compassion, selflessness, and faith were constants in their lives. She was always giving her time and energy to help her family as long as she was able.

Brenda is survived by her siblings, Barb (Dan) Mullet of Edmonton, AB, Glen (Barb) McFadden of Wildwood, AB, and Darrel (Susan) McFadden of High River, AB; as well as an unnamed sister in spirit, and leaves behind a legacy of faith, resilience, and a giving heart. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB, T2X 3J3) on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. The Funeral Services are open to any friends and family that wish to attend and will be appropriate for all ages. A Reception will follow, to Celebrate the Life of Brenda Goodsman, in the Hospitality Centre at the funeral home.

Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Brenda’s service streamed live (see link below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted.
