Born on February 14, 1949, in Winnipeg, MB, to David and Theresa Fulton (both predeceased), Jan was deeply committed to her family and community. She was a devoted mother to her late son, William Higgins (Crystal Higgins), and her daughter, Christine Arsenault (Kevin Arsenault). Jan worked for many years in the Mayor’s Office for the City of Calgary, where she formed lasting memories and friendships with her colleagues. She also volunteered with the Calgary City Police Service for over a decade, demonstrating her unwavering dedication to her community. Jan was actively involved in various boards and parenting committees, always striving to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
An avid reader and planner, Jan loved organizing the best driving vacations using books from the library, turning each trip into a thoughtfully curated adventure. She had a passion for crafting and decorating, and she always made her home a welcoming space for friends and family. Known for her exceptional hospitality, she took great joy in hosting gatherings and celebrations.
