Peter Gunderson

Obituary of Peter Gottfred Gunderson

June 5, 1940 – Calgary, Alberta

January 4, 2025 – Calgary, Alberta

He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

He was a gentle giant, soft-spoken with a silly sense of humour. Peter never had a bad thing to say; he was always the optimist; he chose to look at the bright side of life.

Sharing in his family's happenings brought him great joy as he was so proud to be a Gunderson and grandpa to Logan and Griffin, "the best boys."

Peter was never one for wanting attention or to have a fuss made about him, but rather, he would want to impart to everyone.

“Make sure to take care of yourself and remember things will always work out the way it should. We will see each other again and enjoy a ride together amongst the clouds!"

Peter leaves behind his wife Malecia “forever in her heart.”

He is survived by his daughter, Carmen, and cherished grandchildren, Logan and Griffin, as well as his predeceased son, Scott. Peter was a beloved brother and will be missed by his siblings, along with many friends.

Thank you to everyone who has supported and loved Peter in his lifetime.

Keeping with Peter’s wishes, no memorial service will be held. Immediate family will gather in remembrance.
