Obituary of Francesco GUZZARDI

August 11, 1926 – May 11, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father. Frank passed away peacefully at Newport Harbour Care Centre on Friday, May 11, 2012 at the age of 85 years. An immigrant to Canada in 1953, Frank loved to garden, cook and socialize with friends and family. He was known as a generous man who was loved and respected by all who knew him. Frank was a loving father and a doting grandfather. He is survived by his two sons, Demetrio (Virginia) and Andrea (Angela) and his two granddaughters Anisse and Jenna. Frank was predeceased by his loving wife Mafalda. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street and Northmount Drive N.W.) on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Frank requested that donations be made to a charity for abandoned and orphaned children.
