Peter Laposa beloved husband of Odeline Laposa (Dee) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at the age of 86 years.

Peter was born in Halasto, Hungary, on February 11, 1938.

In 1957, Peter emigrated from Halasto, Hungary, arriving in Canada to begin a new chapter in his life.

It was in Calgary, where Peter graduated from SAIT as a journeyman for roofing and sheet metal and was a proud member of the organization. He spent 35 years working as a commercial roofer, using his skills and expertise to be able to provide for his family.

In his free time, Peter had many passions and hobbies. He loved telling jokes and making people laugh, birdwatching, and spending time at the legion. He also had a talent for wood carving and took great pride in his yard and personal appearance, often wearing sporty clothes and coats. Peter was also known for his love of cooking, especially when making his own goulash and sauerkraut. He was proud of his heritage and enjoyed learning more about the history in the Hungarian Culture Class.

Some of Peter's most memorable vacations were spent in Mexico, RVing throughout Canada, and camping extensively throughout.

Following Peter’s wishes, there will be no service.
