Obituary of Timmothy James Taylor

February 14, 1975 – Edmonton, Alberta

November 29, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with deep sadness that we must say goodbye to Timmothy James Taylor. Tim was known as TJ by his family, and Beast by family at B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse). He passed away peacefully in his sleep due to complications of a serious illness.

TJ was born in Edmonton, AB, to Dale Elie Taylor (1948-2015) and Virginia Jean Taylor (nee Halbert) (1948-2016). He grew up in Sherwood Park, AB, and moved to Calgary with his family in 1989.

TJ held many occupations throughout his life. Perhaps his most memorable was as a long-haul trucker where he found a passion for travel on the open roads that allowed him to see every corner of North America. Many stories emerged from his adventures, ranging from alligator crossings in Florida to unwelcome snakes taking refuge in the engine of his truck in Arizona.

During his downtime from trucking, he discovered a lifelong passion for motorcycles that led him to join B.A.C.A. His association with B.A.C.A. gave him a new purpose and extended family, all while supporting survivors of child abuse.

In 2007, TJ became the proud father of Trinity Belle. Becoming a father was one of his proudest moments and opened the door to the incredible depths of his compassion and caring for everyone around him. Fatherhood eventually led him to B.A.C.A. and numerous other volunteering efforts with those less fortunate. His caring personality trait became a pillar of who TJ was at his core.

TJ had a love for all sorts of creatures, great and small. Over the years, he cared for many dogs, birds, reptiles, hamsters, cats, rabbits, and maybe a mouse or two. If he could have had a dragon, it would have been part of his magical kingdom.

Tim is lovingly remembered by a devoted daughter, brother, niece, nephew, aunts, uncles, and friends:

  • His daughters, Trinity Belle Taylor and Mikayla Shannon Marsh
  • Trinity’s mother Nina Taylor
  • His brother Steven Taylor and his wife Anne-Marie Taylor, and their two children, Grayson Eli Taylor and Olivia Rose Taylor
  • His entire B.A.C.A. family
  • His aunts and uncles, Marilyn and Bill Black, and Gary and Jennifer Taylor
  • His cousins, Billy Black (Jamie Black) and their children, Carson and Alaina, Ava and Aaron Zarski (first cousins once removed), Jeff Taylor and his children, Kenedee and Nathan, and Derek Taylor.

Tim is predeceased by his parents, and his cousins, Christine Black and Trevor Taylor.
