Condolences
When The It Was Tomorrow
© Mellisa Forde
When I saw you smiling and talking it was yesterday
When you were taken it was today
But in my heart you will always stay
Your voice, your wisdom, your speech and your right so free
I know in my heart that God will keep your soul at peace
Now and forever more you will always be a man I respect and one I adore
Just your voice made me want to be better
Now you in that heavenly place
On the wings of the heavenly dove soaring so high above
God has a purpose for all of us
That’s why he took you so suddenly
Although I will never understand why so soon
Death is something we have to live with
Death has no back or front door
When the time comes we all have to endure
So rest in peace till we meet
In eternity you will safely
Dear Phyllis,Trinette and Amberley,
Marsh and I were so sorry to hear about the illness that struck Les and eventually took his life far too early. We will miss his jovial comments to us as we both puttered around our yards gardening and moving our lawns. He mowed our shared side many a time for us which we appreciated.
We knew how devoted and loving he was to his family and how much he enjoyed the barbecues and get togethers with everyone. We are sure his loss is very difficult for all of you and we hope that the memories of those times together will help you cope with his loss.
Sincerely,
Pat and Marsh, your next door neighbours
Phyllis, Trinette and Amberly: To you our deepest sympathies. Les, Murray Krotz and I were school and teenage chums who went to public and high school and grew up together. During those glorious teenage years, we had a lot of laughs as we made our way through those wonderful times in our lives. Many a night we would play cards or head out to a hockey game or a dance for a fun evening in search of excitment. Today, these fond memories bring a smile to our faces, and will continue to do so for many years.
Treasure these memories knowing that Les has a place in our hearts and we will also miss him.
God Bless. Bill and Jessie Detweiler
Dear Trinette and family,
Just wanted you to know you’ve been in our thoughts and prayers for some time and we send our condolences to you all as you say farewell to your Dad for now.
Sincerely,
Bissy and Family
Please accept our sincere condolances to your family. May you find strength at this challenging time.
I had the pleasure to work with Les and his financial plans over many years and it was always enjoyable each time we sat down for a coffee. He will be missed.
Thank you.
To Phyllis and family – my hearfelt condolences go to you. Les and I worked together at Coutts Machinery in the late ’60’s. After he started the PSI branch, we have done lots of business (Danco and Caytec) and talked about the past many times and Phyllis, you answered the phone many times for a little chat! He was way too young to leave us – I wish you strength for the future.
Sincerely, Peter Vanderlinden.
I didn’t know Les well, I didn’t know much about his life, but every Saturday at curling we would have the best fun. Whether he was my skip or my opponent he was always full of laughs and loved to joke with everyone. He would encourage me when he saw me struggling and jibe me when I got too confident. He took an interest in my life always asking how work was or how my son was doing. I haven’t been curling for two years now as life has taken me away from Calgary, but I miss my Saturday friends and know that we will all miss Les as “Les is no longer More”.
With my heart felt sympathy to Les’s Family and friends. May the light shine brightly on you tonight and in the difficult days ahead.
Sincerely,
Wendy Walker
Dear Phyllis, Amberly, Trinette and Greg
Writing this, it is hard to find the right words to say to all of you. Know that we will support and stand beside you and that our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sincerely, Fred and Diane Brown
Dear Phyllis and family, It was with great sadness we learned of Les’ death. He and I had such good times as young lads; I often think of the laughs, the the card games, the fun, the friendship we shared and I know you have lost someone so very special, so very dear to you. Remember him always with love in your heart for the life he was, the joy you shared, and keep your memories close always as treasures of the heart. We will remember each of you in our prayers,
God bless, Murray and Audrey Krotz
Words cannot express my shock at hearing of Les’s transition. I had not seen him for some time and just remember him as we last met at a funeral and he said how sad it was that this was the only time we all got together.
Godspeed Les……
Thinking of you all……..
love
pat
