Obituary of Dorothy Florence UNSWORTH

September 20, 1921 – January 6, 2012 It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Dorothy Florence Unsworth (nee Reid) at Extendicare Michener Hill in Red Deer on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 90 years of age. Dorothy was born in Cochrane, ON on September 20, 1921. Dorothy had a long career in public health nursing, supervision and management beginning with the Simcoe County Health unit in Barrie and Orillia, ON. She retired in 1986 as Associate Director of Nursing Service with Calgary Health Services and remained in Calgary until moving to Red Deer County in 2003. Dorothy will be remembered by daughter and son-in-law Jill and David Soles of Red Deer County; she leaves two granddaughters Janet Soles and her husband Rod Sobchishin and Barbara Soles and her husband Nathan Berko and three great-grandchildren Jack and Ella Sobchishin and Aurora George Berko all of Calgary. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Robert and Charlotte Reid and her siblings Marion Caswell, Alice Neil and Alex Reid. Memorial Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB) on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
