September 15, 1937 – January 6, 2012 It is with a heavy heart and deep regret that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Joyce Maeers (nee Sharkey). She slipped our embrace in the early morning of Friday, January 6, 2012, but will remain in our hearts always. It is a rare privilege to encounter such a gentle and caring soul with so generous and selfless a spirit on this journey we call life. She will be truly missed and fondly remembered by all the lives she touched.
