Condolences
From a fellow Newfoundlander, Bay Roberts, I had the pleasure of knowing Murray during our short G8 duties. I found Murray to be a gentle soul who never had a negative comment about anyone. I considered him a friend and a proud Newfoundlander. I am sorry for your loss.

Dear Donna
I can’t help thinking of you today as you face your farewell to your dear Murray. I will greatly miss Murray’s smile and cute quips. He always made me feel like I was his good friend and I know that many of us at the pool feel the same way. I remember how lovely he was with Arran when you all came to my studio last year. Murray was a real softie. His love lives on in the most beautiful places you can imagine.
With the deepest sympathy to you and your family,
Jane

Donna and Family, We were very saddened to hear the news of Murray’s sudden passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. It was so good to be able to celebrate Murray’s 70th with him and his immediate family members last year. That’s how we will remember him.
Strickland Family
So sorry to hear of Murray’s passing. I had the pleasure of meeting Murray (a fellow Newfoundlander) when I worked at the Pickering Building here in Ottawa back in the 1980’s. He was such a pleasant person.
Please accept my sincere condolences
Donna and family,
Please accept our great sympathy on the passing of your dear loved one, Murray. Since we heard, we have said several prayers for you all. While we did not know Murray well we always enjoyed visiting with him on social gatherings and found him very friendly.
Our prayers will continue to be with you in these days of adjustment and if things work out for us we will see you Friday.
Please accept our sympathy on the loss of Murray. We have many fond memories of Murray when he was stationed in nearby Oromocto, New Brunswick early in his career, as well as,his later visits to his brother, Ernie’s family reunions in this area. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you, Donna, and your children and to his sister, Ada, our sister-in-law in this difficult time.
Dear Donna and all the Strickland Family, our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. As you turn to celebrate Murray’s life, may the many good memories that come back to you bring you peace. God bless Murray and all of you, Dennis and Pat.
Donna: We were so saddened to hear about Murray. Shock still has not left Leonard or I. We have been thinking about you all week and keeping you in our prayers. How we would love to be there and celebrate Murray’s life with you tomorrow, however that is not possible. Please be assured will will be with you in spirit and pray that the Lord will give you the strength you need to face the weeks and months ahead. Just remember “There will be no parting there!” Love to Tonya, Scott and Todd as well. Your friends Leonard and Joanne Blackmore
Donna it was such a shock to hear the news of Murray’s death. Even though we can’t be there with you we share your sadness. Murray was a great friend and we have fond memories of the times we shared while he was in Newfoundland and of the your last visit to our home in Pasadena, Nl. Our thoughts are with you and your family.
