Obituary of Debra Anne LEWINGTON

December 11, 1971 – December 28, 2011 Debra Anne Lewington passed away peacefully at the Agape Hospice in Calgary on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the age of 40 years. Debra will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her mother, Gwenyth Lewington, as well as her sister Dawn (Adam), brother in law Bob, niece Jocelyn, nephews Zachary and Nicholas, and many dear friends. Debra was predeceased in 1990 by her father David Lewington. Debra was a graduate of the University of Calgary, earning a degree in English. Although her work was often challenging Debra enjoyed it immensely, holding positions at PBS Systems, Critical Mass and finally Ideaca where she held the position of Consulting Manager Portals and Collaboration. Debra had a special fondness for animals, and adopted “Pickles”, an ARF rescue dog. The two were often seen in local dog parks, and were inseparable during Debra’s last year. Our family would like to thank the staff and nurses at the Agape Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Debra over the past weeks, as well as the oncology and radiology staff at Tom Baker Cancer Centre.
