Condolences
I am so saddened by the news of Joanne’s passing. I had not seen her for some years but always kept in touch through facebook and enjoyed reading about her and her family. She was a big part of my son Devin’s childhood and Auntie Jo Jo was his favourite. My heart goes out to the family.
Derek
Our heart goes out to you and your family.
Love Pat and Ross
We only met this summer, but became fast friends! I loved our long walks and girl talk at the lake. The lake will never be the same without your smile and laugh!
Derek, Carmen and Chantel, you are in our thoughts and prayers! We love you guys!
Derek, Carmen and Chantel
Our Sundays will never be the same without Joanne’s beautiful smile at our soccer games. I’m going to miss watching and listening to her cheer on Carmen and watching the two of you work as a team to take care of little Chantel. I so wish we could just wave one more time across the soccer dome at Joanne while she was cruising around with Chantel. We were fortunate enough that our daughters brought us together as friends and we hope to see you and your beautiful girls back at soccer. Find strength in your family and friends were all here for you.

Looking out at all of you here today confirms the impact that Joanne (aka Jo-Jo) had on our lives. We would like to take a moment to share what she meant to all of us, as a friend. It has definitely been hard to keep track of all of Jo-Jo’s activities and friendships over the years, but, we will do our very best.
The friendships that Jo-Jo made early on in life through St Matthews, Bishop Grandin, and Food City were a constant and steady force in her life. We can stand here today and say our friendship with her grew and evolved as we have grown and evolved together. From partying and playing together in our early years to quiet evenings reminiscing, playing games, watching shows and movies in our later years.
Jo-Jo had groups upon groups of friends through baseball, volleyball, bowling, and golf. Work relationships at Food City, Telus and Woodridge. Ladies time with the breakfast club, in the Amazing Races and at Bunco. And, let’s not forget the Stamps games, Cactus Club Fridays and the time at the Lake.
And, how about Facebook? We have all lost track with all of the friends she re-connected with and the new friends she had made. We think that Facebook was made for her. She always kept us all in the loop with her life. She remembered Birthdays and important events. She planned parties and activities. She shared her life with Derek, Carmen and Chantel with us. She made each and every one of us feel special, when we needed her she was there. She always had time for us all; I really don’t know how she managed it, her energy was endless.
It has been our pleasure to watch Joanne as a loving wife and mother – to get to know her family and become that much closer to her. To Derek, Carmen and Chantel – we promise we will continue to share laughter together and remember Joanne together.
Jo-Jo is irreplaceable and she will leave a lasting memory to everyone in different ways. She didn’t care about perfection; she simply loved us for who we were. She saw the good in everyone. She turned a negative into a positive and we will do the same for her. Her smile was contagious; her laugh infectious and we are all fortunate to have spent time with her, she touched our lives. So, smile as you remember something about Joanne, and hold that close to your heart.
Jo-Jo, we will always love you. May you laugh, sing, and dance with us always.
Love you always Vern, Alli and Christine
Please accept our deepest sympathies for your loss. Joanne will always be remembered as a loving Mother and Friend. I will always cherish our moments together and the fun she brought into our lives. I love you and miss you my friend!

Pat, Al, Carole & Terry. I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many memories of Joanne and they have been flooding back over the last few days. My favorite… Blasting Carole’s “Funky Town” record (even though she told us not to take it) in the family room, dancing like crazy laughing and thinking we were really good too. Playing in the park as little kids we would turn the merry-go-round so fast we would almost pee our pants from laughing so hard. We met again as young adults and it was like we saw each other yesterday. She introduced me to Derek and was so in love! Later through Facebook we connected and have shared our life’s from the birth of our girls to just daily happenings. I will miss all her random silly quotes, her Carmen & Chantel updates and all her fun filled pictures! My heart is breaking for Carmen, Chantel and Derek. I will miss Joanne but she will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace my friend. I Love You. xoxo
