Obituary of Lorna HUNTER

April 10, 1970 – Rocky Mountain House, Alberta May 8, 2019 – Canmore, Alberta Lorna Hunter took her journey home to the Creator, in Canmore on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the age of 49 years. Lorna loved to travel on road trips into the mountains. She had a passion for traditional ways and values. She was crowned Nakoda Princess in the early 1980’s in ladies fancy dancing. We will remember her as a quiet, humble, kind, and a loving mother to her children. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Lorna is survived by her mother Virginia; children, Natoshia “Bear”, Joaney (Boyce), Byron, Dace, Raiden, and Syrell; brother, Errol; sisters, Riva (Daniel), Jaclyn (Clarance), Sonya (Nathan), Amanda (Liam), Stephanie, and Fiona (Kyle); grandchildren Rudy, Joel, Wylee, Mellie, Nina; step-brothers, Shane(Vanessa), Keon (Evelyina), Robert (Bonnita); step-sister, Selina(Paul); adopted brothers, Darcy Turningrobe, Colin Simeon, Vidal Frencheater, her only auntie on her father’s side, Yvonne House, and numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. We apologize if we have missed anyone. Lorna was predeceased by her father Dale House; brothers, Malcolm, Oliver, Trevor, numerous cousins, uncles, aunties and grand-parents, and adopted father, Gerald Powderface. Wake Services will be held at the residence of the Late Dale House (Morley, AB) on Monday May 13, 2019. Funeral Services will be held at Good Stoney Center (Morley, AB) on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Big Stoney Cemetery (Morley, AB).
