Condolences
Kim & Family
Today we were shocked & saddened to learn of your loss. Had we known, we would have attended the funeral service. Words can’t express our sorrow as you have come to be a friend to us. Please accept our sincere condolences. You are in our thoughts & prayers.
I heard about your husband a few weeks ago , Kim, and I didnt know how to get a hold of you to send my condolences… Im so sorry for your loss. I wrote and rewrote things to say, saying how great you are and how terrible this situation feels.. But honestly, there are no words to truly match how you must feel. I hope you find some light in this time of darkness.
Stephanie, Mark, Kim,
My deepest sympathies go out to you at this time. I didn’t know Dom well, but in the time I knew him I found him to be among the most upstanding people I’ve ever met. He was truly one in a million, a tremendous father, and an incredible husband. I know his soul is resting in peace, because a soul like his doesn’t just come along. God bless his soul and yours.
Keenan
I’ve known your sister Cathy Davidson for many years at our workplace-LCBO. Cathy my heartfelt condolences to you and your family and to your parents and to Dom’s wife and children. This is tragic and heartbreaking. God be with you and your family now and always.

I had the fortunate opportunity to work with Dom on a number of initiatives when I was at SRD. I always valued his insight and advice. He had such a positive influence on people and will be truly missed.
Kimberly, Mark, Stephanie,Vito , Antonia and Family. My deepest sympathy on the loss of your beloved husband; father ; son and brother. My heart goes out to all of you as you try to come to terms with this new reality and life shattering loss. Right now it may seem like you will alway’s feel this crippling; incredibly intense sorrow; grief and anguish. As unbelievable as it may seem, the pain will “soften” over time. Eventually the joy and good memories of the love you shared with Dom, will overshadow the sorrow . Be kind and nurture yourselves and each other. Try to take it one second; one minute ; one hour at a time.
I remember my husband talking about Dom and having a great deal of respect for him as a colleague and a kind human being. Dom once gave him an unexpected gift that Rick treasured . I know if Rick were still with us, he would say that we have lost one of the really good guys. If you believe there is a heaven, you can bet that Rick was there to greet Dom and together they will watch over all of us.

I first met Dom while on the SASS/SAL Committee. As one of the few federal members in a sea of provincial faces, and being very shy to boot, I still remember with deep gratitude Dom being the first one to welcome me and draw me into the group. It was always a great meeting when Dom was able to attend, as his humour and twinkling eyes always made our tasks seem almost fun! A man full of really wonderful subtle but edgy humour, integrity and just a whole lot of class. My very deepest sympathies to his family, friends and colleagues. He was obviously a very special man who will be so greatly missed by all.

We would like to express our sincere condolences to the Ruggieri’s family and especially to Kim, Mark and Stephanie. We have known Dominic for many years and even though we could’n attend the funeral ceremony our hearts and prayers are with him. What a genlteman and a nice golfer to play with, I enjoyed every game of golf with him, God bless him and his family. He will hold you in his heart and you in his forever. We were so happy to see Dom and Kim in Phoenix, and will never think of Mac and Cheese the same, thanks to Dom ordering the special deep fried cheese balls, at the Cheese Cake Factory. They turned out to be deep fried mac and cheese and so delicious, we had a good laugh over that. God bless you all and know that God keeps you in his heart and has a little extra help now.
As a former colleague I remember Dom as an energetic, competent and friendly worker with exceptional people skills. His tragic loss will be felt far & wide. To his family I pray for your peace & comfort as you remember his life. God Bless
My deepest condolences go out to the Ruggieri family.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very difficult time for you.
Sincerely,
Nella

Dom was strategic, respectful and always fair. He was always friendly, socialable, and will be missed by all in SRD whom had had the pleasure of knowing and working with him. Deepest condolences for your loss.

He was an inspiration to all of us.
Dom was a wonderful man and we both enjoyed not only working with him, but also golfing with him. The world is truly a sadder place without him. We are so sorry for your loss.

KIM Ruggieri and family.
Dom was my colleague and my friend and I will miss him. It just seems so unfair that he is taken now after battling cancer and succeeding and then so looking forward to returning to his work. I am so sorry for all that you are going through but I am certain that Dom would be so proud of each of you right now. Dom was a fine man who served with honour, dignity, respect, and integrity. SRD will be the poorer without him.
I will remember Dom’s open friendliness, his humour, grace and love of life. He was a dedicated public servant and a highly valued colleague. Dom was a classy guy who made a big difference to all of us who were privileged to work with him. Sincere condolences to his grieving family. Godbless you Dom.

I was very sad to hear the news of Dom’s passing. I’ve known Dom for many years through work, but more so through the annual Public Lands golf tournament in which Dom faithfully donated much time and effort to help organize over the years. He was always energetic, enthusiastic, entertaining and just fun to be around. He will be sadly missed. My deepest sympathy goes out to Dom’s family, friends and co-workers.

I knew Dom since 2008 as a fellow member from the Carstairs Golf Course. I can truly say that he was very modest and full of integrity. He would always ensure that his personal sand container was filled to ensure that any fairway divots he came across were filled accordingly. I had great pleasure in attempting to better him on the scorecard, but more often than not he came out on top. He will be missed but never forgotten. My condolences go out to his family, his friends, and to all that had the pleasure of being with him on the golf course.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to all of the family. We are shocked and saddened. We fondly remember our visit with you and Dominic years ago in Edmonton.
Dominic is in our prayers.

To the Ruggieri family, please accept my heartfelt condolences on the tragic loss of your father, husband, and son. I worked alongside Dom as an Area Manager for many years and we were very excited indeed to see him back and healthy. While mere words alone do not offer much comfort at a time like this, please know you are indeed in our thoughts and prayers.
My name is John Marczyk. I worked with Dom from 1980 to 92. Over that time he stood out in many ways. Dom did not need to be called upon for help; he jumped in with sleeves rolled up at any time. Dom was also friend to all, and went out of his way to maintain very strong professional relationships. He will be much missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you at this difficult time.
Lance & Michelle Davidson
