Obituary of Arthur Francis Art CROSSLEY
April 21, 1925 – December 10, 2011
Art, beloved husband of Eileen of Calgary, passed away peacefully in his sleep at Foothills Medical Centre on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the age of 86 years. He suffered complications from a stroke and is now at peace.
Art served proudly in the Second World War on HMCS Antigonish. He retired from Canada Wire and Cable after thirty-eight years of service and enjoyed twenty years with his wife as a snowbird in Tucson, Arizona. Art loved spending time with his family and friends, helping others with building and renovations and playing golf.
Art will be sadly missed by his wife of sixty years, Eileen; daughter Linda (Johnnie); sons Don (Lisa) and Barry (Daphne); grandchildren, Gerrit, Daniel and Tess; sister Bea; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church (1414 Shawnessy Boulevard S.W.) on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
