Obituary of William Cecil PORTLOCK

January 2, 1927 – December 10, 2011 William (Bill) Cecil Portlock, beloved husband of Del of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the age of 84 years. Bill was born on January 2, 1927 in Regina, SK. He and Del were married in Regina in 1951 and moved to Calgary in 1952. Bill worked in the printing industry for Burnand Printing for thirty-five years. He loved to fish, golf, play pool with his buddies at Confederation Seniors Centre and spend time with his family and friends. He was a beloved husband, father and friend. Bill will be greatly missed by everyone who ever knew him. A true friend, who was always there to lend a hand. Bill leaves behind his wife of sixty years Del; son Brad; daughter Barb; and grandchildren, Britton, Donnie and Morgan; and his brother Robert. Bill was predeceased by his parents Alice and Cecil Portlock and his sister Joyce. Memorial Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. A Family Graveside Service will be held in the Field of Honor at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
